Wiki Spaces
A Wiki Space is an isolated collection of wiki pages within Wiki. Introduced in Wiki v2, Wiki Spaces make it easy to organize documentation into separate sections for different teams, products, projects, or departments.
Each Wiki Space has its own URL, navigation, and collection of pages, allowing multiple independent documentation sites to exist within a single Wiki installation.
Tip
Use separate Wiki Spaces to organize documentation for different products, internal teams, customer guides, or knowledge bases without mixing their content.
Create a Wiki Space
Creating a Wiki Space only takes a few steps.
- Open the Desk.
- Click Add Wiki Space.
- Enter a unique Route for the Wiki Space.
- Optionally select existing Wiki Pages that are not already assigned to another Wiki Space.
- Save the Wiki Space.
Route
The Route determines the URL of your Wiki Space and should be unique.
For example:
documentationdeveloper-guidecustomer-help
Choose a short, descriptive route since it becomes part of your documentation URL.
Adding Existing Pages
While creating a Wiki Space, you can optionally include existing Wiki Pages that are not currently associated with another Wiki Space.
This makes it easy to organize previously created documentation without recreating pages.
Benefits of Wiki Spaces
- Separate documentation for different teams or products.
- Independent navigation and page hierarchy.
- Cleaner organization of large knowledge bases.
