Changing the Learning Portal Base Path

By default, the Frappe Learning portal is available at /lms. If you want to use a different URL such as /school, /academy, or any custom path, you can update the portal’s base path by modifying your site’s configuration.

Example

If your site is https://example.com, the default Learning portal is available at:

https://example.com/lms

After changing the base path to school, it will become:

https://example.com/school

Steps to Change the Base Path

Step 1: Open the Site Configuration

Log in to your server using SSH and navigate to your Frappe Bench directory. Open the site_config.json file for the site where Frappe Learning is installed.

Step 2: Add the Base Path Configuration

Add the lms_path key to the configuration file with your preferred URL path.

The value can be any URL-friendly name such as:

school
academy
learning
courses

Step 3: Clear Cache and Restart

After updating the configuration, clear the cache and restart your Bench so the changes take effect.

bench clear-cache
bench restart

Verify the Change

Once the restart completes, open your browser and navigate to the new path.

`https://example.com/lms`	`https://example.com/school`

Important

Changing the base path only affects the URL used to access the Learning portal. All courses, users, settings, and content remain unchanged.

Summary

Default Learning portal path is /lms.
Change the lms_path value in site_config.json.
Run bench clear-cache and bench restart.
Access the portal using your new custom URL.
