Programs (Learning Paths) in Frappe Learning

Programs, also known as Learning Paths, allow instructors to organize multiple courses into a structured learning journey. They help learners follow a predefined curriculum while enabling instructors to monitor overall completion and engagement.

Create a Program

To create a new learning program:

  1. Navigate to the Programs section.
  2. Click the + New button.
  3. Enter a Title for the program.
  4. Add one or more courses to the program.
  5. Enable Enforce Course Order if learners must complete courses sequentially.
  6. Choose whether to publish the program immediately or save it as a draft for later publication.

Enrollment Options

Programs support both self-enrollment and instructor-managed enrollment.

Published Programs

When a program is published, it becomes visible to learners. Students can browse available programs, enroll themselves, and begin progressing through the included courses.

Private Programs

Programs can also remain private. In this case, instructors or moderators manually enroll selected learners without making the program publicly visible.

Student Experience

Once enrolled, learners can access the program directly from the Programs section.

Students Can

  • View all enrolled and published programs.
  • See every course included in the learning path.
  • Open individual courses and begin learning.
  • Track their overall completion progress.

Enforced Course Order

If Enforce Course Order is enabled, learners must complete each course before the next course becomes available. This ensures students follow the intended learning sequence.

Note

When course order is enforced, learners cannot skip ahead. Each course must be completed before the next one is unlocked.

Progress Tracking

Frappe Learning automatically tracks learner progress across the entire program.

Instructors can view a Progress Summary to monitor:

  • Student enrollment.
  • Course completion progress.
  • Overall engagement.
  • Program completion rates.

Benefits of Programs

  • Organize multiple related courses into a single learning path.
  • Create structured training and certification journeys.
  • Guide learners through courses in the correct sequence.
  • Monitor learner progress from a centralized dashboard.
  • Support both public and instructor-managed enrollment.
Summary

Programs help instructors deliver structured learning experiences by combining multiple courses into a guided curriculum. With optional course sequencing, flexible enrollment methods, and built-in progress tracking, Programs make it easy to manage comprehensive training paths for learners.
