Embedding Google Workspace Files
Frappe Learning allows you to embed Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides directly into lessons. This makes it easy to share live documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that automatically reflect the latest updates without re-uploading files.
How to Embed Google Workspace Files
- Open the Google Doc, Google Sheet, or Google Slides presentation you want to share.
- Configure the sharing permissions by navigating to File → Share → Share with Others and ensure learners have the required access.
- Copy the document URL from your browser’s address bar.
- Open the Lesson Editor in Frappe Learning and paste the URL into the content block.
- Frappe Learning automatically detects the Google Workspace file and embeds it directly into the lesson.
Since the content is embedded directly from Google Workspace, any changes made to the original document are automatically reflected inside your lesson without updating it again.
Supported Google Workspace Integrations
Google Slides
Embed presentations directly into lessons. Learners can navigate through slides without leaving the course, making it ideal for lectures, tutorials, and training presentations.
Google Sheets
Display live spreadsheets inside lessons. This is useful for sharing reports, interactive calculators, datasets, schedules, or any content that changes frequently.
Google Docs
Embed documents such as study material, manuals, handouts, policies, or technical documentation. Since the document remains linked to Google Docs, updates are reflected automatically.
Important Notes
- Paste the Google Workspace URL only. Do not use iframe embed code.
- Ensure the document’s sharing permissions allow your learners to access it.
- If the file is private or restricted, learners without permission will not be able to view the embedded content.
- Any updates made to the original Google document, spreadsheet, or presentation are automatically reflected inside the lesson.
