Discussions Component

The Discussions component allows you to add an interactive discussion section to any portal web page. Logged-in users can post messages, reply to discussions, and collaborate with other users directly from the page.

This component is useful for creating community forums, support portals, knowledge-sharing pages, or any scenario where users need to communicate with one another.

Tip:

Use the Discussions component to encourage collaboration, answer user questions, or build a community-driven support portal.

How to Add the Discussions Component

  1. Open the existing Web Page where you want to display discussions, or create a new Web Page.
  2. Save the Web Page if it is newly created.
  3. Scroll to the Page Building Blocks section.
  4. In the Web Template field, select Discussions.
  5. Click Edit Values.
  6. Enter the required configuration details:
    • Title – The heading displayed for the discussion section.
    • CTA Title – The call-to-action text shown to users.
    • Web Page – Select the current Web Page.
  7. Enable Single Thread if you want all messages to appear in a single discussion thread.
  8. Save the Web Page.
Note:

Only logged-in users can participate in discussions by posting and sharing messages.

Enabling Single Thread keeps all conversations within one continuous discussion instead of creating multiple independent threads.
