Manage Contacts

Contacts represent the people your sales team communicates with throughout the sales process. They may be decision-makers, stakeholders, customers, or anyone involved in an opportunity. While deals are associated with organizations, contacts capture the individuals who help move those opportunities forward.

A contact maintains a complete history of your team’s relationship with a person, making it easy for anyone on the team to continue conversations and collaborate effectively.

Tip

Maintain a single contact record for each individual. This keeps communication history, linked deals, and customer information centralized and avoids duplicate records.

View Your Contacts

Open Contacts from the sidebar to access all contacts in your CRM.

The Contacts list displays key information for each contact, including:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Organization
  • Last updated date and time

You can search, filter, and sort contacts to quickly find the person you’re looking for.

Create a Contact

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Click + Create in the upper-right corner.
  3. Enter the contact details.
  4. Save the record.

Work with a Contact

Opening a contact provides a complete profile of the individual and all opportunities they’re involved in.

Contact Information

The details section includes information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Gender
  • Organization
  • Designation
  • Address

These fields can be edited directly from the contact record without opening additional forms.

Linked Deals

The Deals tab displays every opportunity associated with the contact.

For each linked deal, you can view:

  • Deal name
  • Deal value
  • Current status

A single contact can be associated with multiple deals, including opportunities across different organizations. This provides complete visibility into the contact’s involvement throughout your sales pipeline.

Relationship Tracking

Linking contacts to multiple deals helps your sales team maintain context across every interaction, making it easier to manage long-term customer relationships and multiple business opportunities.

Best Practices

  • Create one contact record per individual to prevent duplicate information.
  • Keep contact details updated whenever information changes.
  • Associate contacts with all relevant deals to maintain complete relationship history.
  • Use contacts as the primary source of customer information for your sales team.
  • Review linked deals regularly to understand the full scope of your relationship with each contact.

Note

A contact represents an individual, while a deal represents a sales opportunity. One contact can participate in multiple deals, and a single deal can include multiple contacts, allowing you to accurately model real-world business relationships.
