Move Site From Shared To Private Bench

If your site is currently hosted on a shared bench, you can migrate it to a private bench for greater flexibility and control. A private bench allows you to use features such as Server Scripts, install custom apps, and manage your bench environment independently.

Move Your Site to a Private Bench

1. Verify Plan Eligibility
   Open your site’s dashboard and check whether your current plan supports private benches. If it doesn’t, you’ll see an option to upgrade your plan.
2. Upgrade Your Site Plan
   Upgrade your site to a plan that supports private benches (currently $25/month or higher). After the upgrade, you’ll see the Move to Private Bench option on your site.
3. Review the Migration Configuration
   Click Move to Private Bench. A dialog will open with the migration settings pre-configured. In most cases, you can keep the default configuration and continue.
4. Choose Additional Options (Optional)
   If required, you can customize the migration by selecting an existing private bench or moving the site to a dedicated server instead of creating a new private bench.
5. Start the Migration
   Confirm the migration to begin moving your site to the selected private bench.
6. Monitor Progress
   You’ll be redirected to the migration progress page where you can track the status until the operation completes.
7. Verify the Migration
   Once the migration is complete, your site will be running on a private bench and ready to use.
