Get a Static IP for Your Site
By default, sites on Frappe Cloud do not have a static IP address. If your application requires a fixed IP address for firewall rules, API whitelisting, or external integrations, you must host your site on a dedicated server and request a static IP assignment.
Note
The IP address assigned to your site by default is not static and may change over time.
How to Get a Static IP
- Migrate your site to a dedicated server.
- Before or during the migration, submit a request through the Frappe Cloud Support Portal asking for a static IP assignment.
- Once the request is processed, the support team will assign a static IP to your dedicated server.
When You Might Need a Static IP
- Whitelisting your server in third-party applications.
- Connecting securely to external databases or APIs.
- Meeting security or compliance requirements that require a fixed IP address.
Best Practice
Request the static IP before configuring external integrations or firewall rules to avoid updating configurations later.
