Creating a New Site on Frappe Cloud

Creating a new site on Frappe Cloud is a guided process that lets you choose your applications, software version, hosting region, hosting plan, and site address before the platform provisions your environment automatically.

Step 1: Create a New Site

From the Sites section of the Frappe Cloud dashboard, click New Site to begin the site creation process.

Step 2: Choose Applications

Select the applications you want to install on your new site, such as ERPNext or any additional Frappe apps.

The selected applications will be installed automatically during site provisioning.

Step 3: Select Version and Region

Choose:

• The Frappe/ERPNext version you want to deploy.
• The hosting region where your site should be created.

Selecting a region close to your users can help reduce latency and improve application performance.

Step 4: Select a Hosting Plan

Choose the hosting plan that best matches your expected workload and resource requirements.

Your selected plan determines the compute resources allocated to your site.

Step 5: Choose a Site Hostname

Enter a unique hostname (subdomain) for your site.

The hostname must satisfy the following requirements:

• Between 5 and 32 characters long.
• Uses only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
• Cannot begin or end with a hyphen.
• Must be unique across Frappe Cloud.

Step 6: Wait for Site Provisioning

Frappe Cloud automatically creates your site and installs the selected applications.

Provisioning typically takes only a few moments, although the exact duration depends on the applications being installed.

Step 7: Open Your Site

After provisioning completes, click Visit Site at the top of the page to open your new Frappe site.

Step 8: Complete the Setup Wizard

Log in to your new site and complete the initial setup wizard.

Site analytics begin collecting only after the setup wizard has been completed successfully.
