Move a Site to a Different Server or Bench

The Change Bench option has been integrated into the Site Migration feature. You can now move your site to another bench or server through the unified migration workflow available from the Migrations tab.

Move a Site to Another Server or Bench

1. Open your Site Dashboard.
2. Navigate to the Migrations tab.
3. Click Trigger Migration.
4. Select Move Site to Different Server / Bench as the migration type.
5. Choose one of the available migration options:
   • Create a New Bench – Frappe Cloud creates a new compatible bench and moves your site to it.
   • Use an Existing Bench – Select an existing compatible bench that already contains the required applications.
6. Review the migration configuration.
7. Confirm the migration to begin the process.

Using an Existing Bench

If you already have a compatible private bench, simply select it during the migration process. Frappe Cloud will validate the configuration and move your site to the selected bench.

Create a New Bench

If a compatible bench is not available, you can choose to create a new bench during the migration. The platform automatically provisions a new bench with a compatible configuration before moving your site.

Migration Completion

After the migration finishes successfully, your site will begin running on the selected bench or server while preserving its existing configuration and data.
