Bench Analytics
Bench Analytics provides performance metrics for every bench running on your dedicated server. These metrics help you monitor resource usage, identify performance bottlenecks, and detect issues before they affect your sites.
Bench Analytics is available from the Bench Analytics tab on your Server page. It provides bench-level insights similar to the analytics available for individual sites.
Access Bench Analytics
- Open your Server dashboard.
- Navigate to the Bench Analytics tab.
- Select the release group or bench you want to monitor.
Available Metrics
Bench Analytics currently provides the following performance metrics:
- Memory Usage – Displays how much RAM a bench consumes over a selected period, helping you identify memory-intensive workloads.
- CPU Time – Shows how much CPU time is being used by the bench, making it easier to identify processes that require excessive compute resources.
- Network I/O – Displays inbound and outbound network traffic generated by the bench, helping you monitor communication between your applications and external services.
- Disk I/O – Shows disk read and write activity, allowing you to identify workloads that perform heavy storage operations.
Why Use Bench Analytics?
Monitoring bench-level metrics helps you understand how your infrastructure is performing beyond individual site analytics. These insights can help you:
- Detect performance issues before they impact users.
- Identify benches consuming unusually high CPU or memory.
- Monitor network and disk activity for abnormal resource usage.
- Troubleshoot application performance with deeper infrastructure insights.
Review Bench Analytics regularly alongside Site Analytics to quickly identify performance trends, isolate resource bottlenecks, and take corrective action before they affect production workloads.
