Employment Type in Frappe HR: Setting Up Employment Categories
You can employ people under a number of categories, each with its own wage and leave entitlements. In Frappe HR, this category is called an Employment Type. Common examples are Full-time, Part-time, Intern, Contract, Probation, and Apprentice.
Frappe HR lets you pick an Employment Type from a pre-defined list, or create your own to match how your organisation hires. Once set up, the Employment Type is assigned on the Employee record, which keeps your workforce data consistent and easy to filter and report on.
You will find it under Home > Human Resources > Employee > Employment Type.
How to create an Employment Type
- Go to the Employment Type list and click New.
- Enter the Name of the Employment Type.
- Save.
That is all it takes an Employment Type is a simple master record. Once created, it becomes available to select in the Employment Type field on the Employee master.
TIP
Set up all the employment categories your company actually uses before you start adding employees. With the list ready, everyone gets tagged consistently which makes later filtering, reporting, and bulk actions far cleaner than fixing mismatched entries afterwards.
