Job Offer in Frappe HR: Extending an Offer to a Candidate

A Job Offer is the formal offer extended to a selected job applicant. It captures the role, the terms, and the offer status, and serves as the offer letter you share with the candidate the bridge between a successful interview and a new employee joining.

You will find it under Home > Human Resources > Recruitment > Job Offer.

BEFORE YOU START

Have the selected Job Applicant, the Designation, and the Company ready. A Job Offer Term Template, if you use one, lets you pre-fill the standard terms.

How to create a Job Offer

  1. Open the Job Offer list and click New.
  2. Select the Job Applicant being offered the role.
  3. Set the Status (such as Awaiting Response) and the Offer Date.
  4. Select the Designation and Company.
  5. In the Job Offer Terms table, add the terms items like salary/CTC, joining date, and probation period, each with its value.
  6. Save, then Submit.

You can then print or share the offer with the candidate straight from the record.

Offer terms and templates

The Job Offer Terms are the specifics the candidate is agreeing to. Rather than typing the same terms every time, a Job Offer Term Template can pre-load your standard set, so every offer is consistent and you only adjust the values that differ for each candidate.

From acceptance to onboarding

As the candidate responds, update the Status to Accepted or Rejected. An accepted offer is the green light for the next stage issuing an Appointment Letter and onboarding the new hire, where their Employee record is created and their joining is set in motion.

TIP

Set up a Job Offer Term Template with your standard terms before you start hiring at scale. It keeps every offer consistent, reduces the chance of a missed or wrong term, and makes generating each candidate’s offer a quick job.

SUMMARY

A Job Offer is the formal offer made to a selected applicant. Create one by selecting the job applicant, setting the status and offer date, choosing the designation and company, and listing the Job Offer Terms (salary, joining date, probation, and so on) optionally pre-filled from a Job Offer Term Template. Share the offer with the candidate, update the status as they respond, and an accepted offer leads into the Appointment Letter and onboarding, where the Employee record is created.
