Interview Type in Frappe HR: Categorising Your Interviews
An Interview Type is a simple master that categorises the kinds of interviews you run Technical, HR, Telephonic, Face to Face, Video Call, and so on. It’s a small but useful building block: Interview Rounds and Interviews reference a type, which keeps your recruitment process organised and easy to report on.
You will find it under Home > Human Resources > Recruitment > Interview Type.
How to create an Interview Type
- Open the Interview Type list and click New.
- Enter the Interview Type name (e.g. “Technical” or “HR Round”).
- Optionally add a Description to clarify what the type covers.
- Save.
How interview types are used
Once created, a type can be attached to an Interview Round and to individual Interviews. This lets you group and filter interviews by kind for instance, seeing all technical interviews across candidates which is handy when reviewing your hiring activity.
TIP
Keep your list of interview types short and meaningful a handful that reflect how you actually interview. A tidy set is easier to use consistently than a long list of overlapping types nobody can choose between.
