Training Program in Frappe HR: Organising Employee Training

A Training Program is a structured training initiative that groups related training together “New Hire Onboarding”, a “Sales Skills Program”, a compliance series, and so on. It’s the container under which you run individual training events, giving each effort a clear name, purpose, and home.

You will find it under Home > Human Resources > Training > Training Program.

BEFORE YOU START

Have a sense of the training’s purpose and audience, and who will deliver it, so the program record reflects a real initiative rather than a placeholder.

How to create a Training Program

  1. Open the Training Program list and click New.
  2. Enter the Training Program name.
  3. Add the trainer details and a Description of what the program covers and who it’s for.
  4. Save.

Programs and events

A Training Program works as the umbrella for one or more Training Events. The program sets the overall theme and goal, while each event is an actual session, a date, a trainer, attendees. Grouping events under a program keeps related sessions together and makes it easy to see the full scope of an initiative at a glance.

TIP

Create a program for each ongoing training theme rather than a one-off per session. With a program in place, you can run repeated events under it over time and the history of who was trained on what stays neatly organised.
