Training Event in Frappe HR: Scheduling a Training Session

A Training Event is an actual training session run under a training program a specific date, a trainer, a location, and the employees attending. Where the program sets the theme, the event is where the training really happens and gets recorded.

You will find it under Home > Human Resources > Training > Training Event.

BEFORE YOU START

Create the Training Program the event belongs to, and make sure the Employees you’ll add as attendees exist.

How to create a Training Event

  1. Open the Training Event list and click New.
  2. Enter the Event Name and link the Training Program.
  3. Set the Event Status (such as Scheduled) and add the Trainer Name and Trainer Email.
  4. Choose the Type (workshop, seminar, conference, and so on) and the Location.
  5. Set the Start Time and End Time.
  6. Add the employees attending in the Attendees table.
  7. Save, then Submit.

Attendees and notifications

The Attendees table is the list of employees expected at the session. Frappe HR can notify attendees by email about the event, so the people who need to be there get the details directly rather than through a separate invite.

After the event

Once the session is done, the event becomes the anchor for capturing outcomes: you record a Training Result for each attendee and collect Training Feedback on the session. That turns a completed event into trackable training history rather than just a calendar entry.

TIP

Add all attendees before the session and keep the list accurate. The attendee list is what Training Results and feedback are built on, so a correct list now saves reconciling who actually attended later.

SUMMARY

A Training Event is an actual training session under a program, with a trainer, type, location, time, and attendees. Create one by naming it, linking the training program, setting status, trainer, type, location, and times, and adding attendees, then submit with optional email notifications to attendees. After the session, record a Training Result per attendee and collect Training Feedback, turning the event into trackable training history.
