Process Payment Reconciliation in ERPNext

The Process Payment Reconciliation feature is used to automatically reconcile a large number of invoices and payments without manual allocation.

It is designed for high-volume reconciliation scenarios where manual matching is time-consuming.

When to Use

  • Large number of invoices need to be reconciled
  • Manual allocation is not practical
  • Bulk payments need automatic matching

Prerequisite Setting

Before using this feature:

  • Enable Auto Reconcile Payments in Accounts Settings

Steps to Use Process Payment Reconciliation

  1. Go to Process Payment Reconciliation doctype.
  2. Select Company, Party, and Receivable/Payable Account.
  3. Save and Submit the document.
  4. Status will change to Queued.

Once queued, the system automatically processes reconciliation in the background.

Background Processing

  • A scheduled job runs every 15 minutes
  • It picks up queued reconciliation requests
  • Users can manually trigger using Start / Resume

Reconciliation Logs

  • System creates a Process Payment Reconciliation Log
  • Shows total allocations processed
  • Displays successfully reconciled entries
