Energy Points System
The Energy Points System in ERPNext is a gamification feature designed to track and reward user engagement and contributions within the system.
It helps organizations measure user performance based on real activities performed inside ERPNext.
Enabling Energy Points
To activate the system, go to Energy Point Settings and enable the feature.

Energy Points are assigned through rules that define when and how points are awarded.
Each rule connects a user action with a point value.
Key Fields in Energy Point Rules

| Reference DocType | Defines the document type (Task, Issue, ToDo, etc.) where the rule applies. |
| For Document Event | Triggers points on Save, Submit, Cancel, or Custom events. |
| Points | Number of points awarded for the activity. |
| Allot Points To Assigned Users | Assigns points to users linked to the document. |
| User Field | Determines which user field (Owner, Modified By, etc.) receives points. |
| Multiplier Field | Multiplies points based on numeric field values. |
| Condition | Defines when points should be awarded using a rule expression. |
| Apply Only Once | Ensures points are granted only one time per document. |
How It Works
Energy Point Rules automatically assign points when users perform defined actions such as closing issues or completing tasks.
For example, closing an Issue can trigger a rule that awards points to the user responsible.
Points are allocated automatically based on configured rules without manual intervention.
