Quality Feedback

A Quality Feedback in ERPNext is used to collect and record feedback about the quality of products or services offered by an organization. It enables customers or internal users to evaluate different quality parameters, provide ratings, and submit comments that help businesses measure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.

Quality Feedback provides a structured approach to gathering both quantitative and qualitative feedback. Users can rate predefined quality parameters and provide detailed comments, allowing organizations to monitor quality performance and address customer concerns effectively.

ERPNext also supports the use of Quality Feedback Templates, which automatically populate the evaluation parameters, ensuring consistency across all feedback records.

Purpose of Quality Feedback

Quality Feedback helps organizations understand how customers or internal users perceive the quality of their products, services, or business processes.

By collecting standardized ratings and detailed comments, businesses can identify strengths, detect recurring quality issues, improve customer satisfaction, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

System Purpose

Quality Feedback provides a standardized mechanism for collecting ratings and comments that can be analyzed to improve product quality, service quality, and overall customer satisfaction.

Using Quality Feedback Templates

A Quality Feedback Template can be selected while creating a Quality Feedback record.

When a template is selected, ERPNext automatically populates the predefined quality parameters, eliminating the need to enter evaluation criteria manually.

This ensures that all feedback is collected using consistent evaluation standards across different customers, products, services, or business processes.

How to Create a Quality Feedback

Step 1: Create a New Quality Feedback

Open the Quality Feedback list and click New.

Step 2: Select the Feedback Source

Specify whether the feedback is being provided by:

  • Customer
  • User (an ERPNext system user)

After selecting the source type, choose the corresponding Customer or User record.

Step 3: Select a Quality Feedback Template

Choose the appropriate Quality Feedback Template.

ERPNext automatically imports all predefined feedback parameters from the selected template into the Quality Feedback document.

Step 4: Review the Feedback Date

The Date field is automatically populated with the current date when the Quality Feedback is created.

Step 5: Rate the Quality Parameters

The Parameters table contains all the evaluation criteria imported from the selected template.

For each parameter, provide the following information:

Parameter

Represents the predefined quality criterion or process being evaluated.

Rating

Assign a rating between 1 and 5 based on the quality of the product, service, or process.

  • 1 – Lowest Rating
  • 5 – Highest Rating

Feedback

Provide comments or observations explaining the assigned rating for each parameter.

Detailed feedback helps organizations understand the reasons behind customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.

Step 6: Save the Quality Feedback

After completing the ratings and comments, save the document to record the feedback.

Quality Actions Based on Feedback

If the submitted feedback indicates significant quality concerns or dissatisfaction, organizations can initiate a Quality Action.

Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, the Quality Action may involve corrective measures to resolve existing problems or preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of similar issues occurring in the future.
