Razorpay Integration
ERPNext integrates with Razorpay to enable secure online payment collection. After configuration, customers can pay invoices and payment requests using Razorpay, while ERPNext automatically creates the required payment gateway and accounting records.

Prerequisites
- An active Razorpay account.
- Razorpay API Key and API Secret.
- A company in ERPNext configured with INR (Indian Rupee) as its currency.
Access Razorpay Settings
Navigate to:
Explore > Integrations > Razorpay Settings
Configure Razorpay
- Open Razorpay Settings.
- Enter the following credentials:
- API Key
- API Secret
- Save the configuration.
- Enable the Razorpay integration.
What Happens After Enabling?
- A Payment Gateway record is created automatically.
- A Bank account is added to the Chart of Accounts.
- A Payment Gateway Account is generated for payment configuration.
Payment Gateway Account
The Payment Gateway Account serves as the central configuration point for Razorpay payments. From here you can:
- Select the Bank account used for Razorpay transactions.
- Configure the default Payment Request email template.
- Manage payment gateway settings independently of the API credentials.
Chart of Accounts Entry
When Razorpay is enabled, ERPNext automatically creates a Bank-type account in the Chart of Accounts for recording Razorpay transactions.
Supported Currency
Important
Razorpay integration is supported only for companies whose base currency is INR (Indian Rupee). Payments cannot be processed for companies configured with other currencies.
Result
After completing the configuration, ERPNext can securely accept Razorpay payments, generate payment requests, and automatically record payment transactions in the accounting system.
