Customizing Columns in Standard Reports
In ERPNext standard reports such as Statement of Accounts (SOA), Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, users can add or remove columns for temporary analysis.
The “Add/Remove Columns” feature is meant only for on-screen analysis and does not permanently change the report structure.
Temporary Column Changes
When users modify columns in a standard report, those changes apply only to the current view session.
These modifications are useful for quick reference and analysis of data without affecting the underlying report configuration.
Exporting Modified Reports
If the user wants to export the report with the modified columns, saving the report is required.
To preserve custom column changes during export, the report must first be saved as a custom report.
After saving, the exported file will include the updated column structure as configured by the user.
