Quality Review
A Quality Review in ERPNext is a structured assessment used to evaluate the performance of a Quality Goal at regular intervals. It helps organizations determine whether the objectives defined within a Quality Goal have been achieved and ensures that quality standards are consistently maintained.
Each Quality Review serves as a documented inspection that follows predefined procedures and evaluation criteria. It allows quality managers and responsible personnel to record observations, compare actual performance with expected targets, and identify areas requiring improvement.

Prerequisites
Before creating a Quality Review, ensure that a Quality Goal has already been created.
The Quality Goal defines the objectives and targets that will be evaluated during the review process.
A Quality Review can only be performed against an existing Quality Goal, as the review uses its objectives and monitoring criteria for evaluation.
How to Create a Quality Review
Step 1: Create a New Quality Review
Open the Quality Review list and click New to create a new review.
Step 2: Select the Quality Goal
Choose the Quality Goal that you want to evaluate.
Once selected, ERPNext loads the objectives associated with the selected Quality Goal into the review.
Step 3: Record Reviews for Each Objective
In the Reviews table, record the evaluation or comments for each Quality Objective.
The review should capture the actual performance, observations, and whether the objective has been achieved.
Step 4: Add Additional Information
If required, enter supporting remarks, findings, or recommendations in the Additional Information section.
This information provides additional context for the review and helps document important observations.
Step 5: Save the Quality Review
Save the document to record the completed review.
Automatic Fetching of Quality Procedure
If a Quality Procedure has been linked to the selected Quality Goal, ERPNext automatically retrieves and displays that procedure within the Quality Review.
This allows reviewers to follow the predefined Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) while evaluating the quality objectives.
Quality Procedures linked to a Quality Goal are automatically fetched into the Quality Review, ensuring that evaluations are performed using standardized review procedures.
Periodic Auto Creation
ERPNext can automatically generate Quality Reviews based on the monitoring frequency configured in the associated Quality Goal.
Depending on the selected frequency, such as Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Quarterly, the system creates new Quality Review documents automatically.
Each automatically created review is assigned the status Open, allowing the Quality Manager to complete the inspection at the scheduled interval.
Automatic review creation helps organizations consistently monitor quality performance without manually creating review records for each evaluation period.
Quality Actions
After completing a Quality Review, users can create a Quality Action to document corrective or preventive measures.
Quality Actions help organizations address identified issues, prevent future occurrences, and continuously improve quality management processes.
