Share Reports in ERPNext
ERPNext provides dedicated reporting tools to help organizations monitor shareholder holdings and track all share-related transactions. These reports offer complete visibility into share ownership, movement of shares, and the overall value of shareholder investments.
There are two primary reports available in the Share Management module:
- Share Balance Report
- Share Ledger Report
These reports help companies maintain transparency in shareholder management while providing accurate records for auditing and compliance purposes.
1. Share Balance Report
The Share Balance Report provides a summary of shares currently held by shareholders along with their corresponding value.
This report helps organizations quickly understand:
- Total shares owned by each shareholder
- Current share holdings
- Share types held by shareholders
- Total value of shareholder investments
- Overall ownership position
To access the Share Balance Report:
Home > Accounting > Share Management > Share Balance
The report serves as a snapshot of shareholder ownership at any given point in time and is useful for reviewing current share distributions across the company.
The Share Balance Report displays the current shareholding position and value of shares held by each shareholder.
2. Share Ledger Report
The Share Ledger Report provides a detailed transaction history for shareholders.
Unlike the Share Balance Report, which focuses on current holdings, the Share Ledger Report tracks every share-related activity performed by a shareholder.
This report includes:
- Share Issuance Transactions
- Share Transfer Transactions
- Share Purchase or Buyback Transactions
- Transaction Dates
- Number of Shares Involved
- Share Values and Amounts
- Folio Number References
To access the Share Ledger Report:
Home > Accounting > Share Management > Share Ledger
The report provides a complete audit trail of share ownership changes and shareholder activities.
The Share Ledger Report acts as a transaction history register, showing every share movement associated with a shareholder.
